John T. Poffenbarger
Serving the West Virginia Investment Management Board as Vice-Chairman, John Poffenbarger is also General Counsel to the
West Virginia Department of Administration where he is responsible for the Department's compliance with statutory obligations and public financing. A former State Senator, Mr. Poffenbarger graduated
from Virginia Military Institute and West Virginia University School of Law.
In addition to serving as City Attorney for the City of
Dunbar, Mr. Poffenbarger is also a member of the West Virginia State Senate; member of the Employment Security Board of Review; member of the West Virginia Racing Commission; Executive Secretary to the West Virginia Board
of Investments; member of the Kanawha County Bar Association the West Virginia and American Bar Associations and the West Virginia State Bar. Mr. Poffenbarger is a nationally recognized Bond Counsel.
