Steven L. Smith
Mr. Smith is the Administrator of the West Virginia Laborers Trust Funds. In this capacity, he oversees the operation and custody of $300 million of pension and health and welfare assets. He is nationally recognized as an expert in investment and pension matters, and he currently serves as a speaker for the International Foundation. In 1990, Mr. Smith was the youngest bank president in modern West Virginia history. He has 24 years of banking and investment experience and is a CPA. He holds an MBA from West Virginia Wesleyan and a B.S. (Accounting) from West Virginia University.
Mr. Smith was appointed by Governor Joe Manchin III on February 2, 2006, for a term to expire on January 31, 2010. |
