Thomas serves as Representative to the WVIMB for the
Public Employees' Retirement System.
Mr. Thomas has served
in various positions during his twenty-plus years of employment
with the Division of Highways and Department of Transportation.
He is currently the General Accounting Supervisor for the Department
of Transportation. His current duties include the cash monitoring
for several agencies within the Department of Transportation.
This requires a general knowledge of how state funds are invested
and the monitoring of the rate of return so that interest income
can be budgeted.
Mr. Thomas' professional associations include the Government Finance
Officers Association and the Committee on Transportation and Economic
Development for the Transportation Research Board. His community
activities include the Board of Directors, PERSA Organization, and
Finance Committee, Our Lady of the Hills Catholic Church.
